Nashville, Tenn. (June 27, 2025) – Get ready for a powerful debut! Marcy Grace is set to release her first full-length album, Tear It Up, on August 22. As a seasoned touring artist, each of the new album's 10 tracks has been rigorously road-tested, ensuring they deliver the high-octane energy fans have come to expect. Her latest single, “Knockout,” released today, has already become a dancehall favorite, thrilling crowds with its infectious beat and clever lyrics.
Marcy, a self-proclaimed huge sports fan, shared the inspiration behind “Knockout”: “Boxing is like top three for me, so when the title ‘Knockout’ came to my mind, I knew I could do something cool that blended the imagery of boxing and the dancefloor. I started writing lyrics and melody and finished the rest of the song with my co-writer Patrick Dodge out of NY and TN.”
A confident vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Marcy seamlessly switches between drums, lead guitar, and banjo during her electrifying live shows. Her goal for Tear It Up was clear: to create an album that authentically reflects the exhilarating feel of her live sets.
This bold, high-energy collection successfully captures the electricity of her performances in a studio setting. Known for her powerhouse vocals and fierce guitar playing, Marcy has carved out a unique lane that is distinctly her own—gritty, dynamic, and unapologetically rocking. From the first note to the last, Tear It Up delivers exactly what its title promises.
Produced by Kenny Lane Schwartz of Red Fox Recording in Bandera, Texas, Tear It Up showcases the sound of a band firing on all cylinders—loud guitars, driving drums, and Marcy front and center, delivering each lyric with heart and conviction. While not a live album, the intention was to bring the stage to the speakers, and Marcy and her band have undeniably achieved just that. The songs are as raw and real as they are explosive, mixing southern grit with a modern edge. Whether it’s a full-throttle barn burner or a punchy anthem made for rolling down the highway, Tear It Up is built to hit hard and stay with you.
Marcy expressed her pride in the album: “This album is all me and my band. We did bring in Aaron Castilla on fiddle for ‘Heavens to Betsy’ and ‘Mr. Lonely Eyes,’ and Tina Turner’s fiddle on ‘Look Who’s Countin’’ and ‘Mason Jar.’ We also brought in John Macy on pedal steel. I’m so proud of this group and what we created, it’s everything I hoped for. And getting to record a song I wrote with my dad, Patrick Camacho, makes it even more special.”
With Tear It Up, Marcy Grace makes it clear: she’s not here to blend in—she’s here to break through. This is country rock with teeth. This is the soundtrack to Friday night. This is Marcy Grace—loud, fearless, and ready to Tear It Up.
