Nashville, TN (June 20, 2025)  — Buzzed about Country newcomer Elizabeth Nichols today releases her debut project, Tough Love, via PULSE Records. Quickly earning a reputation for clever (and often humorous) songs that offer a brutally honest take on any giving topic from relationships to societal observations, Nichols' aptly titled Tough Love delivers an introductory taste to her artistry and biting commentary on the world around her. With “Ain't Country,” (the first Country song Nichols ever wrote), she takes a shot at wannabe Country boys while “Bible Belt” tackles contradictory Christians.

The cover and Nichols' response captured the internet's attention, in the four days following, the single gained 462% in streaming, debuted at No. 25 on Billboard's Emerging Artist Chart and found its way into the Top 45 on Apple's Today's Country Playlist as well as Spotify's Viral Charts in the US, Australian, Norway, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand and landed her as Billboard's Country Rookie of the Month for June. The video brings the song to life, unpacking the story of Goldie Locks and the Three Jealous Men and chronicling Elizabeth's adventures as she nonchalantly uptrades immature beaus.

“I was planning to be a lawyer and studying for law school when I started writing this project, so it's pretty surreal to be putting out my debut EP and seeing 'I Got A New One' take off like it has. It's all very exciting,” shared Elizabeth Nichols. “I hope these songs strike a chord in some way, whether it makes people laugh or the tough love I'm dishing makes them think twice about what is going on in their own lives.”

Produced in part by Travis Heidleman, Steve Rusch as well as Jackson Foote, and Nichols, the seven-song project also includes It her recently released ballad “Somebody Cooked Here” and her buzzed about “Mama,” which garnered more than 600,000 on demand streams. Her videos featuring “Mama” have accrued over 7.5 million views and 630,000 likes across social media platforms.

Nichols recently wrapped as support on Wyatt Flores' tour and checked off several bucket list performances including the legendary Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville and the Kentucky Derby. Unfortunately, her official CMA Fest debut was canceled due to weather, but Nichols hosted an impromptu singalong and meet and greet with fans, captured by The Tennessean. She can be found out on the road this summer with Little Big Town and Russell Dickerson as well as at The Redwest Music Festival and St. Pete Country Fest this fall.
